After the sun has set, a gargoyle may take one of three forms: their human form (no wings, stone skin, claws, fangs, tail, etc), their hybrid form (base human with the addition of wings, claws, tail, fang, stony skin, or any combination thereof), or their stoneskin form (an animated, often larger version of their daily stone form). During the daylight hours, a gargoyle may move around, but only in their stone form. This makes them primarily nocturnal creatures. During the day, they're relegated to an entirely stone form, often a compact version of their stoneskin formAbilities
When their wings are present (hybrid or stoneskin form), a gargoyle may take flight. In all forms, they have exceptional eyesight and hearing. They do have above average strength in their human form, though they are stronger in their stoneskin and hybrid forms. In their stoneskin form, they are essentially invulnerable to most physical attacks, but they are vulnerable to magic.Weaknesses
Animation is hardest at the sun's brightest hours, and this is when they are most vulnerable. At this time, their stone forms are unprotected and their reflexes are often slowed to the point that their statue form can be destroyed, thus ending their lives. In their human form, they are susceptible to the frailties of humanity and can be killed the same way a human can if they can't transform in time to escape.Resurrection
The granite from the church he served. The blood from the man who slayed him. Direct from the grave he lay in. All on the eve of his anniversary. One moon's cycle of unrest to walk the Earth and called back to continue his work.
